Cult of the Benben Stone
The earliest known cult in Pre-Pyramid age Egypt was that of the Cult of the Benu Bird. The Benu bird was the early representation for the Phoenix, and it represented the petrified semen of the Benu bird, and the Pharaoh Osiris.
