She was probably hoping at least one, possible two, might respond.

But when a Chinese student posted a message at college saying she wanted a boyfriend, they came in their droves.

Instead of looking down from her balcony on a romantic scene as her potential suitor waited below, Zhang Mengqian was confronted with a huge mob.

I guess this is proof I’m a nerd

Kaley Cuoco Pictures

Aside from a couple shows, I don’t watch much TV these days. Usually if it’s something really good (like, say, MADMEN) I’ll wait for the DVD box sets of complete seasons so I can watch them whenever I want and without all the commercials for tampons and McDonalds. That being said, I love THE BIG BANG THEORY. I don’t know if it’s the dry-nerd-humor, constant references to comic books and pop-culture, or the sexy KALEY CUOCO that keeps me coming back for more, but it’s one of the funniest shows currently on TV. If only they’d air it on some other night so it didn’t have to follow the douchy “comedy” of raging alcoholic wife-beater Charlie Sheen.

Bat Boy, where are you when we need you most?

Weekly World News is no longer on the newsstands, and it’s not just because it failed to qualify as “news”. Sadly, the weekly rag ceased publication years ago, and was perhaps best known for its breathless headlines of impending mayhem (“900 Doomsday Asteroids Hurtling Towards Earth!“), the frequent appearance of the truly freaky-looking Bat Boy (or his cuter cousin Poodle Boy), and pretty much weekly photos of either Heaven, Hell, or angels.

You can revisit it all at Google Books’ Weekly World News archives going back to 1985, lovingly scanned for your perusal.
