”If the sun refuse to shine,
I don’t mind, I don’t mind,
If the mountains fell in the sea,
let it be, it ain’t me.
Alright, ‘cos I got my own world to look through,
And I ain’t gonna copy you.”
Jimi Hendrix – If 6 was 9

Here’s an article I wrote on Sept. 11th 2007,  before the Tea Party, Occupy, Anonymous, and Obama — imagining what the 9 year anniversary of 9/11 would be like… Funny how time flies, but still some pertinent points and information… http://mad30.livejournal.com/97252.html

Sabine Pearlman‘s intriguing photo series “Ammo” features images of a variety of ammunitions that have been neatly cut in half to reveal the surprisingly varied and intricate contents inside. Pearlman shot a total of 900 cross-sections of ammo, in a World War II bunker in Switzerland last October, documenting the meticulous and dangerous beauty that lies beneath the bullets’ casings.

Beautifully Crafted War Scenes with Human “Toy Soldiers”

Unknown

“To begin with, the army seemed like a relevant social entity for this series. The army already has a uniform and a color. The individual is subsumed by the larger military corps. This allows me to put these characters into action in nature. I often position myself high above these little men in brightly colored suits. They can make one think of little toy soldiers shot in a hyperrealist panorama.”—Jean-Yves Lemoigne
