Artist Glenda Ewart creates replicas for parents who want a permanent reminder of how their children looked when they were born. Others are sold around the world to collectors and even are put in nurseries or taken for walks in prams. Controversially, some are also sold to women who have experienced stillbirths or miscarriages. The dolls take about a month to create and are accurate down to skin tone, birthmarks and even smell.”
