bracken-bat-cave-11[6]

The Bracken Bat Cave, located in southern Comal County, Texas, outside the city of San Antonio, is the summer home to the largest colony of bats in the world. Each year during summer, an estimated 20 million Mexican Free-tailed bats migrate from Mexico to Texas to give birth and raise their pups. While these bats take refuge all across the state, the largest congregation takes place at Bracken Cave.

Artist Collabs with Bees on Honeycomb Sculptures

Aganetha-Dyck-sculpture5

You could say artist Aganetha Dyck creates her sculptures as much as she fascilitates them.  Dyck uses honeybees to decorate these figurines.  The bees create graceful lines and countours that seem compliment the existing shapes of the figures.  Their honeycomb patterns don’t seem like strange additions but rather enhancements. –BEAUTIFUL DECAY

dratashow

Stunning images of dragonflies and flies frozen in time as they appear to by crystalised by the morning dew. The tiny droplets of water magnify the dragonflies’ beauty and reveal the details and bright red, orange, green and blue colours of the flying insects.

Macro photography requires a decent light-source – and in this case it is the jewel-like droplets which capture the light so essential for these works of art. VIA: –PRESURFER

The Hardest to find thing in the Universe?

astatine-focus

What is rarer than a shooting star?

Rarer than a diamond?

Rarer than any metal, any mineral, so rare that if you scan the entire earth, all six million billion billion kilos or 13,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds of our planet, you would find only one ounce of it?

What is so rare it has never been seen directly, because if you could get enough of it together, it would self-vaporize from its own radioactive heat?
