PORTLAND – About two dozen women marched topless from Longfellow Square to Tommy’s Park this afternoon in an effort to erase what they see as a double standard on male and female nudity.

  1. Intereseing idea might work but will take a long time. There will always be someone wanting to look, and i dont think it will only be men. Though i dont see many guys walking around topless at least where i live maybe at the beach but not like doing everyday things.

I dont know if it will ever be possible to do taht and not get the ‘oglers’ as they are called in the article.

  2. I see guys walking around, especially in summer, without their shirts. Of course, they can’t go in to businesses without their shirts, but I’m sure that women might check them out while driving by. It’s human nature to look, we’re programmed to think that going shirtless is “taboo” in public, especially for women… Looking is one thing, but there are a lot of perverts out there who might be enticed to do more if naked chicks are walking along their path….
